My work experience with SFE Services

SFE Services founders, Sophie and Grant Davenport, welcomed their daughter, Eleana, into the business for a day of work experience.

Eleana didn’t waste any time getting stuck in with the team and giving an extra helping hand.

Throughout the day, she helped reorganise uniforms, assisted with photography for the business and attended an HVAC install in High Wycombe.

Eleana said: “My school encourages students to spend their inset day doing work experience, so I went to work with my mum and dad. I reorganised and tidied the stores. This gave me an opportunity to learn about different parts we use on installs and service works.

“I reorganised all the engineer uniforms and got to keep one of the Daikin hoodies – not many of the engineers are “small” so it was going spare, and I love a good hoodie.

“I helped my mum take some new pictures for socials and business development and she explained how these get used.

“I went with my dad out to a site in High Wycombe where we are currently doing an install, to deliver a “plenum” which our local supplier had fabricated.

“Getting an insight into what my mum and dad do is great and I am lucky to have the opportunity.

“It helped me get an idea of the type of role I would like in the future – I don’t think working in an office environment is for me, I like being out and about!”
