There are a number of factors which influence the overall price of an air conditioning installation, such as size of units required (kw), pipe run distance, access etc which is why a site survey is always carried out prior to any final quotation.
To give you an idea of costs, here are some average prices for the most common types of installations. (Please note these prices can be higher or lower for your own individual project):
The above single wall mounted split price is based on a 2.5kw size system installed “back-to-back” (minimal pipe run). The single ceiling cassette and ducted splits are based on 3.5kw size systems with a 15m pipe run. The multi split system is based on one 8kw outdoor unit connected to four internal 2kw wall mounted units.
All prices stated include for the installation of the electricity supply (assuming the client has enough kw capacity on their existing distribution board and that this is to current standards, additional electrical works will be quoted for accordingly if this is not the case).
We do not install any system wiring into an existing plug socket, all electrical installation works are carried out by a qualified engineer who installs the correct external rotary isolator.
All prices are exclusive of VAT and are based on works within a 10mile radius.
Given the large range of products available for ventilating a property, as well as the individual requirements buildings /spaces have, it is difficult to give a precise figure for the cost of installing a system.
There are several site-specific factors that will impact the cost of installing a ventilation system. These include:
Due to the specifics of every installation and the update of the “Approved Document F” building regulations in 2022 for each project needs to be designed (often in coherence with the product manufacturer) and costed individually.
The modification of existing ventilation systems is also specific to individual requirements, so it is necessary for our team to survey buildings to determine what is required. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
Every client’s servicing plan is individually tailored to ensure the optimum efficiency of their equipment and is dependent on the following:
(based on single system with no access issues, during normal working hours, one visit per annum.)
Ductwork cleaning is also priced on an individual basis, with prices starting from £150 + VAT.
Monday to Friday – Normal Working Hours 8.00am to 4.30pm per engineer at £95.00 for one hour (a minimum one-hour charge applies in all cases) and £37.50 per half hour for any additional time over the first hour.
At all other times (i.e. out of hours) at £125.00 per engineer per hour (half hour pricing does not apply, and a full hour will be charged). Scheduled out of hours working would be at a negotiated price.
The above rates apply to all travelling time and a mileage charge of 50p per mile is made in all cases.
In the event engineers are refused entry to site and the appointment has been scheduled / agreed by the client, full payment will still be charged.
Any emergency call outs, requiring attendance outside our normal working hours will attract a minimum of two hours charge at our current rates plus £50 call out fee. Mileage would also be charged at £0.50 per mile. We aim to attend emergency call outs within 4 hours (emergency is deemed as causing potential damage to the property or is a safety matter).
